"Years ago, Michael Tonello and Chris Bartick sought out an extraordinary summer shoe — the espadrille — but wanted it to have an identity all its own. As an avid collector of luxury designer scarves, Tonello and his partner ultimately figured out a way to produce super snazzy, high-quality footwear, repurposing those beautiful scarves and building them into the shoe.
